Jay-Z, Erykah Badu, and Kehlani Set for Roots Picnic 2026


The full lineup for the 2026 edition of the Philadelphia festival Roots Picnic has been unveiled, following the announcement in the week that Jay-Z would headline with the Roots as his backing band. Today, Erykah Badu was revealed as the second headliner, with Kehlani, Brandy, and T.I. playing second fiddle. Further down the bill you’ll find Mariah the Scientist, Black Thought and Wale, Jermaine Dupri, De La Soul, Bilal, Corrine Bailey Rae, and Philly native DJ Jazzy Jeff. This year’s Roots Picnic will take place at a new location: Belmont Plateau in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park. Shawn Gee, the Roots’ manager and president of Live Nation Urban, said in a press release, “Moving the Roots Picnic to Belmont Plateau and bringing Jay-Z and The Roots together to perform are both bucket-list moments for us.”
