Angine de Poitrine Beam in Third Member

On Thursday, the buzzy, anonymous, polka-dotted duo Angine de Poitrine briefly became a three-piece, when a similarly dressed third member shuffled on stage with a triangle to accompany entities Khn and Klek on a new song. Whether this unnamed individual plans on joining the group permanently is still unknown (both to fans and, apparently, their publicist, who tells Pitchfork they aren’t sure either). I do hope it happens, though; as you can see in the video below, they play a mean triangle.

Angine de Poitrine are currently wrapping up a North American run of live dates. They’ll then power down for a few months before heading back on a 2027 international trek.

If you’re still confused about this whole Angine thing, check out Christopher R. Weingarten’s review of the group’s latest album.
