Mere months after releasing Underdressed at the Symphony, her latest album, Faye Webster is back with a brand new song. “After the First Kiss” comes with a music video directed by Kyle Ng of Brain Dead Studios. In it, dozens of people dressed as knights, centaurs, and ogres participate in medieval LARPing while Webster, her face painted like a goblin, plays guitar in the center of the field. Watch it below.
Underdressed at the Symphony came out back in March. It features the Lil Yachty collaboration “Lego Ring,” as well as the singles “But Not Kiss,” “Lifetime,” and “Feeling Good Today.” The LP follows her full-length I Know I’m Funny Haha, one of the best albums of 2021.
Webster has recently been on a compilation to benefit independent abortion providers alongside David Byrne, Courtney Barnett, and Devo, and she hosted the inaugural Faye Webster Yo-Yo Invitational, a one-day extravaganza featuring 12 of North America’s top yo-yo pros.
