Gang of Four to Say Farewell Again With 2025 Tour

Gang of Four have announced a farewell tour slated for next year. Nearly 50 years after they formed, the English post-punk band will hit the road one last time, in North America, next spring. Gang of Four will play their classic debut album, 1979’s Entertainment!, in full each night, as well as a handful of fan favorites and deep cuts from their catalog. Check out the band’s full itinerary below.

Beginning on April 20, Gang of Four will kick off their North American farewell tour in Boston before embarking across the United States and Canada. After making stops in major cities like Toronto, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Seattle, and Los Angeles, Gang of Four will wrap up that leg with a show in San Diego on May 29.

“2025 will be the 45th anniversary of the release of Entertainment! in the US, and will be our final year as a band. It’s been wonderful, but all things must end,” Gang of Four wrote in a statement. “We want to go out with a bang and celebrate with our fans and friends. So, on what will be our last US tour, we’ll play two sets at each show: ‘Entertainment!” from start to finish in the first, and the best of the rest in the second. Come and join in, it’ll be a blast!”

Four years ago, Gang of Four’s steely frontman and guitarist Andy Gill died following a “short respiratory illness.” The band released three records since then featuring the late Gill: the 2020 EPs This Heaven Gives Me Migraines and Anti Hero, and the long-awaited box set 77-81.
