Flying Lotus has surprise-released a new EP. Titled Spirit Box, the project features two previously shared singles—“Ingo Swann” and the Twin Peaks homage “Garmonbozia”—and guest appearances from Dawn Richard (on “Let Me Cook”) and Sid Sriram (on “The Lost Girls”). Listen to the EP below.
The last Flying Lotus solo studio album, Flamagra, came out in 2019, but the Los Angeles–based electronic producer has stayed busy. In recent years, he has executive-produced and soundtracked LeSean Thomas’ anime Yasuke, dropped the singles “The Room” and “You Don’t Know,” and composed ringtones for Apple. Last week also saw the release of the first teaser trailer for Ash, thew new science-fiction horror film that Flying Lotus directed and scored.
