Phil Elverum is bringing his Mount Eerie project on the road. Next year, he’ll go on a North American tour in support of Night Palace, his first solo album as Mount Eerie in six years. He’s also shared a music video for a new song from the record, titled “Non-Metaphorical Decolonization.” Watch that visual and check out his complete list of tour dates below.
The new tour dates start in Vancouver, British Columbia, on February 13, and bring Mount Eerie across the North America. The tour is set to end on April 20, in Washington, D.C. Opening the first leg of the tour are Ragana, while Hana Stretton joins Elverum for the final stretch.
Night Palace arrives November 1 via Elverum’s own label, P.W. Elverum & Sun. “Non-Metaphorical Decolonization” is the fourth single from the album, following “I Saw Another Bird,” “I Walk,” and “Broom of Wind.”
Elverum’s previous full-length record as Mount Eerie was Lost Wisdom, Pt. 2, a 2019 collaborative LP with Julie Doiron. Near the start of the pandemic, Elverum resurrected the Microphones for the album Microphones in 2020.
