Horsegirl Announce Album and Tour, Share Video for New Song “2468”: Watch

Horsegirl have announced their sophomore studio album: Phonetics On and On is out on February 14 via Matador. Watch the music video for lead single “2468,” directed and edited by Eliza Barry Callahan, below.

After their 2022 debut, Versions of Modern Performance, Horsegirl relocated from Chicago to New York so that the trio’s Nora Cheng and Penelope Lowenstein could attend New York University. The group wrote the new album in New York before recording it, with producer Cate Le Bon, at Wilco’s Chicago studio, the Loft, in January 2024.

Horsegirl will follow Phonetics On and On with a U.S. tour featuring support from Free Range. See their tour dates below.
