Twin Atlantic, Daytime TV @ The Waterfront, Norwich

Nearing the end of their UK tour, Twin Atlantic stopped off in Norwich for a night to remember.

Kicking off the night was Daytime TV. When they first took the stage, the room was still relatively empty, but as their set progressed, I noticed more people walking in, already nodding along and clearly enjoying the music.

They proved to be the perfect support act, getting the crowd to dance and earning a loud cheer when they asked who would be interested in seeing them headline their own show. I can see these guys blowing up and selling out shows one day.

The lights dimmed and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody‘ began to play, the crowd were singing along, and were clearly getting hyped for the main event.

Enter Twin Atlantic, they walked out and went straight into ‘Meltdown’, which seemed a little questionable to go into a slower song after the intro, I love that song but to me it just feels like more of a later in the set song. ‘Free’ appeared much earlier in the set than I expected too but I’m certainly not complaining.

The crowd was fully invested, giving their all, and the energy in the room was electric, with the band feeding off that same high energy.

One of my favourite moments of the show was during ‘Make a Beast of Myself’, when the band paused and the entire crowd sang in unison, “You know, you know it’s the end of our sweet universe“. There’s something about hearing everyone come together like that that gives me goosebumps, and there were plenty of these moments throughout the night.

Since it was a Saturday night there was a much earlier curfew than usual for the venue’s club night, which is always a good night for me – not the club night, the early night haha! They ended their set with ‘Heart and Soul’ followed by ‘Crash Land’.

It was the perfect night – an excellent setlist and incredible energy from start to finish.
