Rough Trade is opening a second location at New York’s Rockefeller Center. The new store, Rough Trade Below, will complement the existing Rough Trade store located at 1250 6th Ave.
Rough Trade Below is slated to open in the spring. The 4,000-square-foot space will be located on Rockefeller Center’s rink level directly facing the 47th–50th Streets–Rockefeller Center subway station. The new store will feature new and used vinyl records, new and used CDs, artist merchandise, audio hardware, Blu-rays, and more. It will also host all-ages in-store events and performances.
In a press statement, Rough Trade co-owner Stephen Godfroy stated:
Rough Trade opened its first New York location, in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn, in 2013. The store relocated to Manhattan in 2021.
