Little Simz to Curate London’s Meltdown Festival 2025

Little Simz has been tapped to curate Meltdown Festival 2025 at London’s Southbank Centre. The rapper will handpick the lineup for the 30th edition of the British music festival, following in the footsteps of previous curators like David Bowie, Pattie Smith, and Christine and the Queens. A mix of ticketed concerts, free outdoor shows, and additional workshops, the festival will run June 12-22. Simz’s first picks for the lineup will be revealed in the spring.

“I’m super excited to be the 2025 Meltdown festival curator! My team and I are preparing eleven days of art, music, workshops and more,” Simz said in a statement. “So many incredible artists have curated this festival, so it’s a true honor to be a part of it. Thank you to the Southbank Centre for having me. Meltdown 2025 the Simz way is going to be epic. I’ll see you there.”

It’s been three years since Simz last released an album, with her fifth LP, No Thank You, arriving back in 2022. Since then, she’s put out the Drop 7 EP, hopped on Sampha’s track “Satellite Business 2.0,” and shared her electric Glastonbury set as a live album.
