Beirut Announce New Album, Share Video for New Song “Guericke’s Unicorn”: Watch

Beirut, the orchestral pop project of Zach Condon, have announced a new album. Inspired by Judith Schalansky’s German novel Verzeichnis einiger Verluste, the 18-track A Study of Losses was commissioned by Swedish circus Kompani Giraff for an acrobatic stage show. The record features the previously shared single “Caspian Tiger” and the new song “Guericke’s Unicorn,” which is out today, alongside a music video featuring choreography, puppeteering, and stage design courtesy of Kompani Giraff. Watch it below.

A Study of Losses is out April 18 via Pompeii Records. Hadsel, Condon’s last album as Beirut, came out in November 2023.
