Watch Alana Haim in First Clip from Kelly Reichardt’s The Mastermind

Following its premiere at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, Kelly Reichardt’s forthcoming new film The Mastermind has received its first official preview. In the clip, which features co-stars Josh O’Connor and Alana Haim, O’Connor steals a toy soldier figurine from a museum display case as Haim stays with their children. Watch it below.

In addition to The Mastermind, Alana Haim is set to appear in Kristoffer Borgli’s The Drama and Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another. Next month, she’ll release the next Haim album, I Quit, alongside her sisters. The follow-up to 2020’s Women in Music Pt. III has been led by the singles “Relationships,” “Everybody’s Trying to Figure Me Out,” and “Down to Be Wrong.” A fourth track is poised to arrive later this week, according to the band’s Instagram. In September, Haim will kick off a tour of the U.K. and North America.
