Levitation, the longtime Austin, Texas, music festival that focuses on psych rock, electronica, and punk, has unveiled its 2025 lineup. Pavement, TV on the Radio, and Mastodon will headline, with Built to Spill, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Acid Bath, and the Black Angels topping the bill. Levitation is implementing a new cross-hybrid format of the festival grounds, with this year’s main stage moving to Palmer Events Center while nightly venue shows take place across Austin’s Downtown Red River District. In addition to the aforementioned artists, the 2025 lineup also includes the Armed, Blood Incantation, Marie Davidson, Destroyer, Blonde Redhead, Sudan Archives, Mastodon, Wednesday, PUP, Jeff Rosenstock, Suicide’s Martin Rev, Pile, the Brian Jonestown Massacre, Model/Actriz, Boy Harsher, Swervedriver, the Raveonettes, Mdou Moctar, Beach Fossils, Johnny Jewel, Jamila Woods, Facs, Being Dead, Goat Girl, A Place to Bury Strangers, the Dandy Warhols, and more.
“We’ve been searching for the right location to bring a multi-stage experience back to Levitation for years, and we found it right downtown,” said festival co-founder and director Rob Fitzpatrick. “The venue offers a huge upgrade in production overall with endless possibilities for the visual experience, and great amenities – air conditioning, nice bathrooms, ample parking, a giant shaded outdoor courtyard, along with the production infrastructure needed for a world-class show. All of that in a beautiful park in the heart of the city, and the proximity to downtown means we’re still able to host shows in our Red River venues; these clubs are the heart and soul of our music scene in Austin and it wouldn’t be Levitation without them.”
