Carly Rae Jepsen Announces E•mo•tion Anniversary Concert

Carly Rae Jepsen has announced an intimate concert celebrating the 10th anniversary of her beloved third album, E•mo•tion. She will perform the record front-to-back on Tuesday, August 19, at legendary West Hollywood venue the Troubadour.

On social media, Jepsen wrote, “How to celebrate 10 years of EMOTION? A one night only intimate club show where it all began, that’s how!” She also told fans that there will be “some extra special guests and surprises” and instructed them to “dress the hell up! It’s a PARTY.”

By the time she released E•mo•tion, Jepsen had already achieved commercial success, thanks to her colossal Kiss hit “Call Me Maybe.” The 2015 album instead represented a critical breakthrough for the Canadian singer, who was lauded for the sophisticated pop of tracks like “Run Away With Me,” “Warm Blood,” “Emotion,” and more. Jepsen worked on E•mo•tion with Sia, Devonté Hynes, Rostam Batmanglij, Haim, Ariel Rechtshaid, and others.

Jepsen’s most recent studio album, The Loveliest Time, landed in 2023, completing a diptych with 2022’s The Loneliest Time. Aside from celebrating a decade of E•mo•tion, Jepsen is also working on an upcoming 10 Things I Hate About You musical for Broadway alongside Lena Dunham.
