Cassandra Jenkins has announced a companion album to last year’s My Light, My Destroyer. The New York artist’s new album, My Light, My Massage Parlor, is out digitally on August 14 via Dead Oceans. (Physical editions are out September 5.) Leading the new album is “Delphinium Bliss,” a reinterpretation of “Delphinium Blue.” Watch the new track’s blissful video below.
My Light, My Massage Parlor is a fully instrumental project that Jenkins made with pianist Michael Coleman. The album also features woodwinds, horns, strings, wind chimes, and cricket sounds.
My Light, My Destroyer is Jenkins’ second album to get the companion treatment. Previously, she shared (An Overview On) An Overview on Phenomenal Nature to go with An Overview on Phenomenal Nature.
