DJ Premier and Roc Marciano Detail Project, Share New Song “Prayer Hands”: Listen

In February, DJ Premier and Roc Marciano released the single “Armani Section” and promised that a collaborative project was forthcoming. The hip-hop heavyweights have now made good on their word by sharing the details of The Coldest Profession. The eight-track project is out August 8 via TTT. Below, listen to the artists’ new single, “Prayer Hands,” and scroll down for the new project’s tracklist and artwork.

In a statement, DJ Premier said, “Roc always makes sure to never go in the direction of the expected types. He brags, without bragging. He shows off, without showing off.” He continued, “If that does not make sense, then you’re not what we want in our league of pure style. That’s the definition of ‘Prayer Hands.’ Explanations are not needed.”

The Coldest Profession will be Roc Marciano’s second release of the year, but his first as a rapper: He recently served as the producer of Knowledge the Pirate’s The Round Table. Marciano also shared multiple albums in 2024, dropping Marciology and The Skeleton Key.
