Did Dijon Announce a New Album?


Dijon appears to have announced a new album. A new website with a countdown clock promises a record called Baby “unless samples don’t get cleared.” The due date is midnight next Thursday, otherwise known as New Music Friday.

Baby is set to be Dijon’s first album in nearly four years, the follow-up to Absolutely. Since then, he has released the single “Coogie,” co-produced Mk.gee’s Two Star & the Dream Police, been sampled by Kanye West and Ty Dolla Sign, and featured on Bon Iver’s SABLE, fABLE; plus, he recently co-wrote, produced, and featured on songs from the Justin Bieber album Swag. Dijon is also set to appear in Paul Thomas Anderson’s new movie, One Battle After Another, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Regina Hall, Sean Penn, and musicians Alana Haim and Teyana Taylor.
