Goose’s Releases New Album ‘Chain Yer Dragon’

In an exciting surprise for fans, the indie groove band Goose has officially unleashed its fifth studio album, Chain Yer Dragon, earlier today. The news was revealed by Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, where Goose also premiered their latest single, “Madalena.”

“This song expands on the world of Chain Yer Dragon in a beautiful way,” says Mitarotonda. “It feels fresh and exciting, and yet somehow, it feels like it’s been there from the beginning.”

A Closer Look Chain Yer Dragon

Chain Yer Dragon, produced by D. James Goodwin under No Coincidence Records, is the follow-up to Goose’s recent LP, *Everything Must Go*, released just four months prior.

With a tracklist that spans their discography, including live fan favorites like “Echo of A Rose,” “Empress of Organos,” “Rockdale,” and “Factory Fiction,” Chain Yer Dragon serves as a bridge connecting the band’s early work and live performances with their current artistic evolution and indie vibe. Each member of the band brings their unique vision to the project, creating a cohesive and catchy, yet meaningful sound.

Chain Yer Dragon is a special album in that it showcases their incredible songwriting,” adds keyboardist Peter Anspach.

Connecticut Roots and Epic Ascension

The Connecticut indie, jam rock band has been on a steady incline over the past several months catalyzed by a four-show run at the legendary Capitol Theatre in April 2024. During the Capitol Theatre run, Goose introduced their new drummer to the mix, Cotter Ellis; he joined band leader and lead guitarist and vocalist Rick Mitarotonda, Peter Anspach (keys, guitar, vocals), and Trevor Weekz (bass).

The band followed the Capitol Theatre run with their largest show at Forest Hills Stadium last summer, then their first of many future sellouts at Madison Square Garden, where they join legendary performers on an elite list, including the Grateful Dead and Phish, setting the tone for a new era.

Goose Tour Prepared for Liftoff

As Goosesold-out debut at Madison Square Garden, highlights include performances at the Park City Song Summit in Utah this weekend, a special guest appearance with Dave Matthews Band at The Gorge on August 31, and a two-night series at The Louisville Palace in September.
