Watch Destroyer’s New Video for “Travel Light”

Destroyer has shared a new video for the Dan’s Boogie highlight and album closer “Travel Light.” The brisk number is sparse and foggy, compiling footage of trucks, rest stops, and late-night locations to illuminate Dan Bejar’s lyrics about wanderlust while he plays piano in a dimly lit room. Watch the video below.

Later this month, Bejar and his seven-piece band hit the road for a North American tour in support of Dan’s Boogie. It begins in on September 23, in Eugene, Oregon, and lasts on through to October 26, in Vancouver, British Columbia. Opening select dates along that run are Jennifer Castle and Cass McCombs.

Back in May, Bejar performed “Travel Light” as a musical guest on Everybody’s Live With John Mulaney. Jessica Pratt joined him for that episode, sitting nearby during his performance before playing her own song, “World on a String,” from her 2024 album Here in the Pitch.

Dan’s Boogie follows Destroyer’s 2022 full-length, Labyrinthitis. It includes the singles “Hydroplaning Off the Edge of the World,” “Bologna,” and the eight-minute-long “Cataract Time.”
