Good Neighbours Rise In The Music Scene With Debut Album

After an exciting several months that have seen the band Good Neighbours rise from a viral sensation to festival regulars, the UK indie duo officially released their highly-anticipated debut album, Blue Sky Mentality, under Capitol/Polydor Records and produced by Dan Grech-Marguerat (The Killers, Lana Del Rey). The band is busy touring and the album is out now.

The Dynamic Duo Making Waves in the Indie Rock and Pop Scene

Good Neighbours, comprised of friends Oli Fox and Scott Verrill, has experienced an epic rise since forming in late 2023. In just two years, the duo has risen to releasing new music, appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, and appearing at festivals such as Glastonbury and Austin City Limits, to name a few. Their debut single “Home” became one of the top-selling singles by a UK act in the U.S. in 2024, garnering over a billion streams globally and receiving Platinum status in both the U.S. and UK. The track hit different with fans, connecting on an emotional level.

“If you listen to our music, or come to a show and you feel better after than you did before, then we’ve done our job,” Fox shared.

A Closer Look at the Blue Sky Mentality Record

Creating while the duo was touring, it is raw, charming, and a true watershed moment for Fox and Verrill, which is evident with this release. The album consists of  14 tracks, blending anthemic indie-pop hits with more experimental and expansive sound, and takes listeners through a roller coaster of emotions including euphoria. Some of the notable tracks include fan favorites like “Home,” “Keep It Up,” and the recent single “Walk Walk Walk.”

Below is the full track list of the record.

1. “Keep It Up”
2. “Skipping Stones”
3. “Ripple”
4. “found u/me”
5. “Walk Walk Walk”
6. “Kids Can’t Sleep”
7. “Home”
8. “Small Town”
9. “Starry Eyed”
10. “People Need People”
11. “Left Hand Man”
12. “Suburbs”
13. “Wonderful Life”
14. “The Buzz”

“”Walk Walk Walk” is one of our few writing collaborations on the album – written in LA with pop legend Justin Tranter. It’s easy to pin him as a pop god, but we bonded over a bunch of early 2000s indie bands, and took on a big riff as a nice little nod to those MGMT-era tunes,” stated Oli and Scott.
