Aphex Twin’s SoundCloud Updated With Two Songs: Listen

The SoundCloud page user18081971, widely understood to belong to Aphex Twin, posted two tracks on Thursday (November 27). They appear to be two takes on the same song, titled “Zahl am1 live track 1” and “Zahl am1 live track 1c f760m1 unfinshd.” Listen to both versions here.

Written in the description is the following message: “Got many requests for this one from a few years back. Italy, pic with my love from Sicily recently. Need sun, relentlessly raining in the UK. Mixed down on the Zähl, think there are better mixes, will upload them if I find them.”

Aphex Twin last updated his SoundCloud account in 2023 with two archival tracks, though neither are currently available to stream. Last year saw the release of Music From the Merch Desk (2016 – 2023), a compilation of limited-edition singles he’d previously sold on tour, as well as an expanded edition of 1994’s Selected Ambient Works Volume II. In September, Aphex Twin also reissued 1993’s Surfing on Sine Waves, the sole album credited to his Polygon Window alias.
