Watch St. Vincent Cover David Bowie’s “Young Americans”

St. Vincent stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Wednesday, December 18 to participate in Under the Covers, a new series where, as the name implies, artists cover songs they love. Annie Clark’s selection: David Bowie’s groovy 1975 hit “Young Americans,” which she first covered during the annual Love Rocks benefit show in New York City. Asked by Colbert who she would want to cover her songs, Clark replied with one hell of a trio: Erykah Badu, Doechii, or the Slits.

St. Vincent spent most of her 2025 on the road to support her latest album, the Grammy-winning All Born Screaming. You can check out her full Colbert performance below.
