Watch Gwar Play “Pink Pony Club”

I wasn’t expecting the year to start off with a Gwar take on “Pink Pony Club” yet here we are. The blood-spewing metal band recently performed Chappell’s Roan mega-hit for A.V. Club series A.V. Undercover. (Gwar has a history of irreverent covers like this; in 2024, they played an equally committed version of “I’m Just Ken” for the same series.) You can watch the full performance below.

“‘Pink Pony Club’ is about embracing exile from a boring, shitty world and remaking yourself into whatever you want,” vocalist Berzerker Blöthar said in a statement. “Be who you are, be who you aren’t, piss people off, we don’t care!” Right on, brother. Gwar will hit the road later this year for their Gor Gor Strikes Back Tour.
