Metallica Confirm Life Burns Faster Residency at Sphere

After months of speculation, Metallica has confirmed that they will debut their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere. The Las Vegas venue will host the metal band across eight dates: October 1, 3, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29, and 31. Check out their full tour itinerary below.

The residency will continue the group’s No Repeat Weekends tradition that launched with the start of their M72 world tour. This means no two songs will be repeated during Thursday and Saturday performances.

“About 12 seconds into the opening night of Sphere with U2 back in ‘23, I thought ‘We have to do this, it’s completely uncharted territory!” drummer Lars Ulrich said in a statement. “This residency gives us another chance to reinvent how we interact with our fans in a live setting. We are beyond excited to share this with the world in six months time, and way fuckin’ psyched to go next level!”

Metallica’s M72 world tour has been running since 2023. Since it kicked off, the band has performed in North America, Europe, and the Middle East. In May, another European leg of the tour will start up again, seeing Metallica play dates in Frankfurt, Glasgow, Zürich, and more.
