Katie Alice Greer Announces New Album, Shares “Unglued”

Katie Alice Greer has announced a new album, Perfect Woman Sound Machine, Vol. 1. The former Priests lead singer’s second solo LP lands on GAK Records on April 3. Today, Greer also shared a new song, “Unglued,” which she said she wrote while envisioning “Kim Gordon fronting a Cleveland proto-punk band.” Give that a listen below.

Perfect Woman Sound Machine, Vol. 1 follows Greer’s 2022 debut, Barbarism. ”Unglued” is the third single off the album—Greer previously released “Expo ‘70” and “Talk To Leslie.” The new song arrives alongside a music video inspired by Gena Rowlands’ performance in John Cassavetes’ 1977 film Opening Night. Perfect Woman Sound Machine, Vol. 1 also features a cover of Leonard Cohen’s “I’m Your Man.”

Priests released their final album, The Seduction of Kansas, in 2019, just before announcing an indefinite hiatus. Revisit Quinn Moreland’s 2019 interview “Priests on What It Means to Be an American Rock Band Right Now.”
