James K has announced a remix album based on music from last year’s Friend—including Objekt’s first remix in more than a decade. His take on “Play” is one of two reworks released today, alongside Berlin-via-Spain producer Jasss’ “Purple Mix” of “N’Balmed.” Check out both of those below, along with the full tracklist. Other contributors include Coil’s Drew McDowall, Hesaitix (aka M.E.S.H.), Loidis, and Arushi Jain.
“Friends remix Friend,” James K says of the concept in a press release. “It is such a sweet honor to have my friends and collaborators, whose work has inspired mine, interpret and translate this work into new narratives.”
