Isaiah Rashad Links Up With SZA for New Song “Boy in Red”


Isaiah Rashad has tapped TDE labelmate SZA for a new song, “Boy in Red.” It’s the second preview of Rashad’s forthcoming album It’s Been Awful, following lead single, “Same Sh!t” and arrives alongside a visual featuring a pickup truck rattling across a remote mountain landscape carrying two girlfriends sharing a joint in the backseat. Rashad’s first album in five years, It’s Been Awful, is out this Friday, May 1. He and SZA share a long history of collaborations, stretching all the way back to their respective TDE debuts in 2014, Cilvia Demo and Z. They last linked up, along with 6lack, on “Score” from Rashad’s 2021 album The House Is Burning.
