YHWH Nailgun’s Magazine Is Technically a Visual Album Now

YHWH Nailgun’s Magazine is a visual album now, technically. The New York experimental rockers have shared a music video set to their new 11-minute, 10 track LP. Directed by Lane Stewart, the nocturnal short follows several mysterious characters across an industrial landscape: a pair of dancers in abandoned houses, a figure in a white ski mask pursued by a drone, and some very adorable cows. Watch it below.

In a press statement, Stewart said, “we made this almost entirely in the heat of the night, in the place I’m from, the wider stretch of country my family comes out of and the ground I was born into. The songs already had that otherworldly quality in them, and the lights in the darkness helped reveal some sense of mystery out of one of the most ordinary places deep in America.”

YHWH Nailgun debuted Magazine, their first album for 4AD, with an 11-minute set at last month’s C2C Festival NYC. In September they’ll launch their headlining tour of North America with support from Nuda, @, Keiyaa, and Morgan Garrett.
