Seahaven’s self-titled album was released on June 5!
An album that’s described to have defined the sound of the band, I am pleased to report that Seahaven by Seahaven is a delight to the ears. Positive vibes, beginning with a little melancholy, but moving on to pure hopefulness, each song brings a warm, pleasant experience. A band that came to mind while I listened was Twin Atlantic. Seahaven come with that soft rock/pop punk, emotional fun.
It begins with the soft fade-in, heavenly sound of Godsend, before the clean, upbeat melody of Hellbound. It’s where the lyrics come in, that brings the sad-boy summer vibes. Still, it brings a ‘soldiering-on’ type of sadness. Highwire is my favourite, as it brought me a genuinely hopeful feeling. That continues until Wedding Bells and Companion, then it reverts to the soft-rock sound and fades out to circle back to Godsend beautifully.
Seahaven was all-around a delight to listen to and is a perfect album to end a week on. You can enjoy it now. I hope to see Seahaven in the UK soon. I’d love to experience this live!
