Dry Cleaning Add Two New Songs to Secret Love (Deluxe Edition)

Months after releasing Secret Love, their third album, Dry Cleaning are giving the LP an upgrade. Secret Love (Deluxe Edition) is out now and boasts two new songs—“I Have the Key” and “Grass,” both of which get music videos by Bellyache—as well as the previously released single “Sliced by a Fingernail.” You can listen to those tracks below.

“These are three short films that sum up our response to the record,” Bullyache said about the trio of hair-whipping visuals for Dry Cleaning. “We tried to contain all the beautiful conflicts and contrasts. Each video is a portrait of elation, grief, push and pull. With Nicole Nevitt and Sam Dilkes playing the differing poles of the songs; Nicole’s hair whipping against Sam’s exhaustive thrash against the luxury of the Mandrake Hotel.”

This is the first time Dry Cleaning have released a deluxe version of any of their albums. According to bassist Lewis Maynard, it’s because these were some of the band’s favorite songs from the Secret Love recording sessions, but they knew that any good tracklist involves killing a few of your darlings—at least temporarily. Secret Love (Deluxe Edition) is out digitally now, with a vinyl version to follow on October 16 via Dinked.
