Teenage Fanclub Announce New Album Do Not Dare to Dream

Longtime indie rockers Teenage Fanclub have announced their new album, the bluntly titled Do Not Dare to Dream, along with the first single, “Day in the Sun.” Check out the video for the track below. The follow-up to 2023’s Nothing Lasts Forever drops October 9 on Merge.

“Those ‘dare to dream’ sentiments are kind of ridiculous. I don’t think the world works that way,” Norman Blake said in a statement, while Raymond McGinley added a note about the band’s longevity: “It’s been a while since we started doing this thing we do, but to us it feels like no time at all.”

Do Not Dare to Dream was recorded at Black Bay Studios, located on East Loch Roag on the remote Scottish island of Great Bernera.
