Just a few weeks after their respective new albums dropped on the same day, Charli xcx made an appearance during the Strokes’ Saturday headlining set at Outside Lands in San Francisco. She joined the band to perform their 2001 track “Take It Or Leave It.” Watch it go down below.
“We’ve got a special little guest; a big guest. Well, a superstar,” Julian Casablancas said onstage before bringing Charli out. Jokingly pointing Reality Awaits and Music, Fashion, Film’s shared July 24 release date (and sales competition), he added: “We had a great battle. You defeated us.” Charli headlined Outside Lands on Friday night, making her debut at the festival.
