John Wilson Is Making a Harry Styles Tour Documentary

A Harry Styles tour documentary directed by John Wilson is on the way. Variety reports that The History of Concrete director and creator of HBO’s How To With John Wilson has been filming Styles’ 30-night residency at New York’s Madison Square Garden for a forthcoming project produced by Universal Pictures Content Group, Peanut World Pictures and Styles.

Styles’ current run at Madison Square Garden kicked off back in August and concludes at the end of this month—it’s the longest single-engagement residency the venue has ever hosted. He’s supporting his latest album Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, which he released back in March. Since dropping the record, he’s kept busy performing, bringing his show on the road, to the BRIT Awards, and to Saturday Night Live.

Although the film will be Wilson’s first artist documentary, he has worked in music before. Last year, he directed the music video for Bon Iver’s “Everything Is Peaceful Love,” which appeared on the singer-songwriter’s album SABLE, fABLE.
