Watch Gracie Abrams Perform ‘Hit the Wall,’ ‘Here You Come, There You Go’

The singer-songwriter plays one song from her latest album, Daughter from Hell, and another from its deluxe version

Gracie Abrams performed two songs from her latest studio album, Daughter from Hell, and its forthcoming deluxe version Saturday on SNL.

Abrams, who debuted on the show in 2024 in support of that year’s The Secret of Us, led off with the album’s first track, “Hit the Wall.”

The 27-year-old singer-songwriter said the album, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, is a reflection of the “in-between quality” of her maturation.

“The theme to me is trying to paint an accurate picture of all of these different versions of who you are in this decade when you are sort of one foot in a past life and one foot in the future,” Abrams, Rolling Stone‘s September cover artist, said.

Abrams also described the emotional “metabolizing” of her songwriting: “I was really careful to try to have a better understanding of being both the protagonist and the antagonist in each song.”
