Watch Public Enemy Perform a Career-Spanning Medley on Kimmel

Public Enemy were the musical guests last night (Monday, September 29) on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Kicking off a week of special broadcasts from the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Chuck D and Flavor Flav played a medley of “Don’t Believe the Hype,” from 1988’s It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, “Fight the Power,” from 1990’s Fear of a Black Planet, and “The Hits Just Keep On Comin,” from their new album Black Sky Over the Projects: Apartment 2025. Watch it all go down below.

“Hey yo, Jimmy Kimmel, we are Public Enemy, and I just want you to know that Public Enemy always got ya back,” Flavor Flav shouted at the beginning of his and Chuck D’s performance. In June, Public Enemy shared the protest song “March Madness,” following it up with Black Sky Over the Projects in July.

After being suspended by ABC earlier this month, Jimmy Kimmel Live! made its return to the air last week on Tuesday, September 23. The network and its parent company, the Walt Disney Company, had come under pressure from the Trump administration following a joke that Jimmy Kimmel made about the alleged shooter of right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.
